Drug & Violence Awareness Expo
The Drug and Violence Awareness Expo provides the community an opportunity to learn about the various issues plaguing the county and the resources available to combat them. The event is for all ages but targets today's youth affected by opioid addiction, bullying, domestic violence and sexual assaults.

All are welcome for to join us the first Saturday of every month for some fun and fellowship. BYO non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, coffee will be provided. Featured games are RISK, Monopoly, Ticket to Ride, Setters of Catan, Clue, or feel free to bring your own game!

Join us from 10:00am – 3:00pm for FUN & EXCITING activities for the Family! Helicopter Egg Drops at 11:00am, 12:30pm & 2:00pm
Egg Hunt, Scavenger Hunt, Axe-Throwing (adults 18+), Pictures with Peter Rabbit, Visits from Princesses/Characters, Seed Planting, Inflatables, Playground Fun, Sack Races, Games, Live Music, Helicopter Rides (at an additional cost) and Food Trucks!

Medication and Sharps Take Back Event
Proper disposal protects the health and well-being of children, pets, and the environment. It also helps prevent accidental poisonings, overdose, medicine theft, misuse, and suicide.

EGGSTRAVAGANZA
The egg hunt is on! The Roaring Run Lions Club and CCPL's Finksburg Branch invite you to this annual egg-tastic outdoor event. Bring your basket, bucket, or bag to collect colorful eggs spread throughout the library's green spring grass. The egg hunt starts promptly at 11 AM. In case of rain or snow, the egg hunt will be held indoors.

Bee a Rae of Sunshine Foundation 1st Annual Golf Tournament
Come join us for our 1st Annual Golf Tournament at Oakmont Green on August 9th 2024. Purchase of Foursome includes 18 holes of golf, two golf carts, Dinner at Clubhouse, Door Prizes & Raffle Items.
*Domestic Beer & Soda included during dinner. There will also be a cash bar for liquor during dinner.

Family Fun Fest
The festival offers a variety of activities for kids, including free books from Penguin Random House, storybook times, a reading trail, a scavenger hunt, and inflatable attractions like a bounce house. Additional activities hosted by Summer!Kids@Carroll Camps feature tie-dye, sidewalk chalk art, and crafts, while the Early Childhood Education Club provides fun with parachute play, sunflower planting, and bubble activities. Other highlights include meet-and-greets with Lightning the Lynx, demonstrations from the Sheriff’s Department, helicopter and drone showcases, live music, affordable concessions, and a family fundraising raffle.

One Step Closer Walk
Join us on May 10th as we host our first-ever ONE STEP CLOSER walk for mental health, addiction, and recovery awareness. We will also walk to remember those we lost along the way. Show your support by wearing your PURPLE and TURQUOISE colors! All proceeds will go to the New Surroundings Recovery Program, a women’s home for sober living!

5th Annual HOFFA Classic
Join us for our 5th Annual HOFFA Classic. We will start the day off with breakfast. Then we will tee off to start the 18 hole golf extravaganza. At the end of the event we will enjoy time with friends, awards, and catered lunch by Piney Branch Golf Club.

10th Annual Drug Overdose and Prevention Vigil
The Carroll County State's Attorney's Office invites you to a powerful evening of remembrance, hope, and community at the 10th Annual Overdose & Prevention Vigil.
This year's vigil will feature special guest, impactful stories, and a chance to witness how our community stands together in times of need. Whether you've been personally affected or simply want to show support, your presence matters.
Let's come together to honor those we've lost, support those in recovery, and strengthen our commitment to prevention.

The Shepherd's Staff's Empty Bowls of Carroll County
A simple meal of soup and bread, and a handcrafted bowl to take home as a reminder of those whose bowls are empty.
Three Session Times Available:

Proceeds benefit The Shepherd's Staff's Emergency and Crisis Assistance Programs. In the case of event cancellation due to inclement weather, your ticket payment will be considered a donation.

Health on Wheels - Mobile Services Event
The Carroll County Health Department will be on location with their Health on Wheels unit. They will be providing several vital services for the community that could included the any of the following:
Education - Respiratory Illnesses, Heart Health (Blood Pressure, Smoking Cessation, Diabetes) Prevention (Vaccination, Handwashing, cover your cough)
STI Screening, HIV & Hep C Testing, BP Screening, Peer Support Services, Naloxone Training & Distribution ,Flu and Tdap Vaccines - (Billable, clients to provide insurance info and ID)
